An arrest warrant has been issued to San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk for speeding in Northern California. He is wanted on a misdemeanor charge of exhibition of speed, the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office confirmed.

The incident refers to a video that Aiyuk posted on his YouTube page back in December. Aiyuk reached speed of over 100 mph Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing in the footage posted, with a high of 104 mph. He later apologized for his behavior on social media. However, the Santa Clara Police Department launched an investigation and ultimately handed it over to the Santa Clara District Attorney’s Office.
Aiyuk was drafted in the first round by the 49ers back in 2020. Despite the four-year $120 million extension he signed with the team back in August 2024, his relationship with the organization has turned sour. Aiyuk also injured his knee seven games into the 2024 season and since then has not played a single rep.
The 49ers have expressed desire to trade Aiyuk, however, Aiyuk has not been cooperative, making negotiations difficult.
