The Yankees will be taking the field without the heart of its batting order tonight against the Guardians.

Aaron Judge was not listed on New York’s lineup on Tuesday for the series opener as he continues to deal with shoulder soreness. This will be the first time all season that the Yankees will be without Judge.

A team doctor shared that imaging on Judge’s shoulder shows a bone bruise with manager Aaron Boone listing the star right fielder as “day-to-day.”

Stepping in for Judge in right field is José Caballero with Ben Rice leading off as the designated hitter.

Judge is off to another fantastic season hitting 17 home runs with a .907 ops through 59 regular season games.
