On Monday, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry announced his all-encompassing endorsement deal with Chinese sportswear company Li-Ning.

After an extended free agency period following Curry’s departure from Under Armour in November, Curry’s new deal includes basketball apparel, casual wear and a full golf line.

Just a day later, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that his 10-year deal with Li-Ning is worth $400 million.

According to Charania, Curry had several similar offers and even one more lucrative offer on the table from another brand, but ultimately chose Li-Ning.

Curry’s teammate Jimmy Butler and NBA legend Dwyane Wade already have shoe deals with the company and Curry said the comfortable feel of these shoes impacted his decision.

His partnership with Under Armour lasted 13 years and included 13 unique signature sneakers. He reportedly left the brand due to a perceived sense of underinvestment from the company.

With this new deal with Li-Ning, he plans to build Curry Brands in both the United States and China.

He’s coming off an injury-riddled season that saw him appear in just 43 games. The Warriors missed the playoffs after finishing the season with a 37-45 record.
