While the Philadelphia 76ers are coming off of a disappointing season, they are still interested in bringing in former Golden State Warriors GM Bob Myers for a front office role, league sources told NBA insider Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson.

“Bob Myers is still very much in play,” one source said. “Philadelphia hasn’t moved on. They still view him as someone who could elevate the entire operation.”

Myers is a two-time NBA Executive of the Year for his incredible work that helped the Warriors win four championships in eight years. He stepped down in 2023 and has been an NBA analyst for ESPN since.

The Sixers have reportedly been interested in Myers for a while and team owner Josh Harris is eager for Myers to return to the league.

“Josh Harris wants to win. He wants to build something sustainable and credible—Myers checks all those boxes,” another soucre told ScoopB.com

The Sixers have a lot of work to do in the offseason as they manage nagging knee injuries to both Joel Embiid and Paul George, while also sorting out their complex salary cap situation.

Myers is highly-respected among the league’s best players, both former and current. He hasn’t publicly expressed a desire or intent to return to a front office role, but that certainly doesn’t mean he won’t
