The Philadelphia 76ers secured an impressive Game 7 victory over the Boston Celtics on Saturday, punching their ticket to the second round.

They’ll now face off against the New York Knicks and as the NBA world prepares for this series, fans online are digging up an old conflict between Karl-Anthony Towns and Joel Embiid.

Back in October 2019, when towns was on the Minnesota Timberwolves, the two got into a massive brawl that saw the them wrestle with each other before chaos ensued.

After the game, Towns took to social media with images of Embiid and a caption that read “I aIN’t nO B-TcH.”

Embiid took notice and responded with his own post, explicitly going at Towns in the caption.

“That tough guy act ain’t cutting it …. you know what you are.. you know what you’ve always been>>> A P—Y (SAY IT LOUDER FOR PEOPLE IN THE BACK) Been kicking your a– and pretty please make the playoffs before you talk. It’s a known thing that I OWN YOU,” Embiid wrote.

The beef even spilled over into the comments, where Towns and Embiid went at it more on Instagram. Ahead of the pair’s first-ever playoff matchup, fans are eager to see a second round of the beef.

The conflict has simmered down over the years, but it’s clear that NBA fans would be more than happy to see things get heated in this series.
