A team doesn’t use the 14th overall pick without communicating this intention. Unfortunately, Steve Kerr seems unwilling to play Moses Moody in many games. The team’s general manager, Mike Dunleavy Jr., claims he doesn’t want to lose Moses Moody to another team.
However, Mike Dunleavy, Jr. can’t expect a player with Moody’s talent to remain happy with little to no playing time. Speaking of Moses Moody’s potential unhappiness, rumors are swirling about him being unhappy with his role and limited playing time. If this is true, one should understand why.
Moses Moody has always been regarded as an elite athlete, including during his short yet successful time at Arkansas under the leadership of the Razorbacks’ phenomenal head coach, Eric Musselman. Therefore, it’s understandable for Moody to feel like his valuable time is being wasted.

With the Warriors in 12th place in the Western Conference, 1.5 games out of the play-in tournament, and five games behind the Dallas Mavericks to avoid the play-in tournament, it’s time for Steve Kerr to give Moses Moody much more playing time. Kerr should give him a fair chance to see how he can help the team become more competitive. Without a major contribution from someone like Moody, the Warriors will miss the playoffs.
