The Boston Bruins have finalized a trade to acquire Utah Mammoth forward JJ Peterka for two first-round picks. Boston is sending a 2026 first-round pick and a 2028 first-round pick via the Florida Panthers. The pick is a top-10 protected pick.

Peterka played in all 82 games for the Mammoth last season. He finished with 25 goals and 22 assists, as well as a plus-6 rating. However, he did not record a point in Utah’s 4-2 series loss to the Vegas Golden Knights in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

This is the second time in his career that Peterka has been traded. He was traded last offseason from the Buffalo Sabres to the Mammoth in exchange for Josh Doan and Michael Kesselring.

Peterka was a second-round pick by the Sabres in the 2020 NHL Draft. He has 92 goals and 105 assists in 320 career games.
