The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their spectacular offseason on Thursday, signing free agent right fielder Kyle Tucker to a four-year deal worth $240 million, per ESPN.

Tucker, the consensus top free agent on the market, was given opt-outs after the second and third seasons, something the Dodgers rarely give to their players.

His arrival boosts an already stacked Dodgers roster that features Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy and Will Smith.

The 29-year-old comes in as a serious threat both as a hitter and defender. After a shin fracture with the Houston Astros two seasons ago, Tucker was traded to the Chicago Cubs for last year’s campaign. In 136 games for the Cubs, he slashed .266/.377/.464 to go along with 22 home runs and 73 RBIs.

Despite the enormous price tag, the reigning champs continue to cement themselves as favorites to win a third-consecutive World Series.
