The Minnesota Timberwolves saw their season end on a disappointing note. Things looked promising after the first two rounds of the playoffs as Minnesota went 8-2, and were often led by Julius Randle.
Then, for a second straight season, the Timberwolves lost 4-1 in the Western Conference Finals.

Randle came to Minnesota before the 2024-25 season in a trade package for Karl-Anthony Towns. It took him some time to get used to his new team but he certainly peaked in the playoffs.
Randle averaged 18.7 points and 7.1 rebounds per game during the season for Minnesota. In the postseason, he averaged 21.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
The includes scoring 31 points on 11-21 shooting, including 4-8 from three in the Timberwolves’ 117-110 Game 4 victory over the Golden State Warriors in the second round.
Now, Randle has re-signed with the Timberwolves on a three-year contract worth $100 million. This includes a player option on the final season.

With Randle re-signed, as well as Naz Reid, and the fact that Anthony Edwards is still on the team and growing every season, means Minnesota could be a top contender next year.
