According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Bradley Beal has been traded by the Washington Wizards to the Phoenix Suns for Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, and a few second-round picks with pick swaps.

Beal traded to Phoenix Suns

NBA insider Shams Charania gave his thoughts on the groundbreaking trade that occurred over the weekend:

“Ultimately, Beal picked the Suns over multiple other trade scenarios, including Miami, Milwaukee, and Sacramento, sources said. The Wizards entered serious negotiations with the Suns and Heat on Saturday, as The Athletic reported, and that’s when the Bucks re-entered the picture. Milwaukee officials spoke with Beal on Saturday to pitch him on the Bucks, league sources said.”

Beal turned down the chance to play for the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks, as the no-trade clause in his contract had certainly made trading Beal tough for the Wizards. Is this the right decision for Beal?

This we will have to wait and see, but the Suns now have a new problem on hand: How to figure out their salary cap? Beal, Durant, Booker, along with Deandre Ayton will combine to make $162.7 million next season. The salary cap is expected to be around $140 million.

The remainder of the offseason, as well as the season itself, will be an interesting one for fans to watch as we all keep our eyes on the Phoenix Suns.
