Veteran guard Bradley Beal has declined his $5.6 million player option with the Los Angeles Clippers and will become a free agent, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Beal played in just six games with the Clippers after signing a two-year deal before suffering a season ending hip injury. In his limited appearances Beal averaged 8.2 points on 44.8% shooting from the field.

The market for the 14-year veteran will likely not be as robust as it may have been earlier in his carer where he was a standout with the Washington Wizards.
