LeBron James reportedly suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee in Game 5 of the Los Angeles Lakers’ first-round series. The Lakers lost the game and series to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Even if the Lakers won the game, they would’ve been without their King. According to LeBron, his injury would’ve kept him out for the remainder of the series.

LeBron’s MCL injury legit?

Many people doubted the injury from the beginning. This doubt has recently grown larger after a viral video of LeBron dancing perfectly fine on that MCL-injured knee went viral.

LeBron’s MCL injury was reported to require a recovery period of three to five weeks. The injury occurred on April 30, and it has been about four weeks since the injury when a video of LeBron dancing was posted.

This suggests that his knee may have healed sufficiently for such activity. However, many fans remain skeptical.

LeBron has previously reported mysterious injuries following playoff series losses, including his “broken hand” in the 2018 Finals.

We may never know if LeBron really suffered an MCL injury or not. What we do know is no matter if LeBron remained healthy, the Lakers were not beating the Timberwolves.
