Ja Morant has been in some trouble as of late, thanks to his gun celebration gesture. But on Thursday night, he showed why he is a star in this league by hitting a game-winner against the Miami Heat.

Morant had a great game, scoring 30 points on 11-22 shooting, leading his Grizzlies to a 110-108 victory. He was the star in tonight’s game, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that he made the same celebratory gesture earlier in the game that he was just warned not to do by the NBA.

Who knows what may happen to Morant after the NBA reviews his finger-gun gesture. Still, when you put all of the noise aside and focus on the game of basketball, you can’t deny Morant’s level of talent.

If Morant can keep his mind on basketball and forget everything else, he could easily lead the Memphis Grizzlies far into the playoffs. He might even hit a game-winner or two in the playoffs, as long as he doesn’t get suspended for doing something silly, according to the NBA.
