Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry was ruled out of the remainder of Sunday night’s game after going down with an ankle injury in the fourth quarter. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr provided an update on the injury after the 112-104 loss to the L.A. Clippers.
“He’s doing O.K.,” Kerr said. “He used the word ‘mild’ or ‘moderate’, he’s obviously sprained that ankle many times before. He doesn’t think it’s too bad. But obviously, it’s a concern.”

According to ESPN, there is a heightened level of concern for Curry as he’s sprained this ankle several times before. The team also reports that they are preparing for Curry to miss several games.
“I feel more comfortable that we can withstand an absence offensively without Steph because of [our] depth,” Kerr said.

He initially tweaked the ankle late in the third quarter and left the game to be attended to by the medical staff at the team’s bench. He came back into the game early in the fourth quarter and aggravated the injury just seconds later. He immediately left the court and headed to the locker room.
Curry was scheduled to have an MRI on the ankle Sunday night so for now, all we can do is wait for the results. In the meantime, the Warriors have several players they can call on to be their primary scorer during Curry’s absence.
