Tyrese Haliburton and Kevin Durant have something in common. They both played through an injury during the NBA Finals, and both ended up suffering a torn Achilles tendon.
After suffering a strained right calf, Haliburton was torn about whether to play or not. He reached out to Durant to ask him his opinion.

“I called [Kevin Durant] after I got my MRI in Game 5, and I asked, ‘Do you regret playing in the game you tore it?'” Haliburton said. “He told me, ‘No, not at all.’ And I was like, alright, I wasn’t going to switch anyway, so I’m glad you said that, it makes me feel better… But nah, I don’t regret it.”
Durant initially thought his career was over after his injury, but he has returned to an elite level of play. Will Haliburton do the same?
