Minnesota Twins All-Star outfielder Byron Buxton left Sunday’s 6-1 win over the New York Yankees with a hip injury.
Buxton attempted to steal second base but appeared to be in pain after being tagged our by Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe. He would be replaced by rookie Kyler Fedko when the Twins returned to the field.

Following the game, Buxton gave a brief update on how he was feeling.
“A little sore, didn’t feel too hot,” Buxton said according to ESPN. “So, being a little more smart than trying to fight through it.”
Buxton was named an All-Star starter on Friday he is putting together another solid campaign batting .271 with 25 homer runs and 45 RBIs through 75 games.
