Money talks, especially when it comes to name, image and likeness in college sports.
The term is now synonymous when discussing college football, but it even impacts some side business at the coaching level as well.

One major driver of NIL benefits comes with the College Football video game which is due to be releasing its newest addition this summer. However it will be missing one of the game’s biggest coaching personalities.
Sanders was asked at Big 12 media days why he wasn’t going to be making an appearance in the game despite it featuring several other of the top coaches across the sport. Despite not decisively knowing the reasoning, Sanders shared that it was more than likely an issue of compensation.
“I have a wonderful team that handles a lot of business for me,” Sanders said. “If I’m not in the game that means they weren’t paying enough. It probably didn’t fit where we’re going right now. It’s probably that simplistic.”

Sanders is entering his fourth season as the head coach of Colorado and it looking to improve off a 3-9 campaign from a season ago.
