Leon Draisaitl scored twice as the Edmonton Oilers topped the Vancouver Canucks 4-2 on Saturday night at Rogers Place.
Mattias Ekholm opened the scoring at 9:14 of the first period, with assists from Connor McDavid and Draisaitl. Max Sasson tied it 1-1 at 19:51 of the first period. Jason Dickinson put the Oilers ahead 2-1 at 0:49 of the third period, with assists from Ty Emberson and Mathieu Joseph.

Draisaitl made it 3-1 on the power play at 4:00 of the third period. Brock Boeser pulled the Canucks within 3-2 at 17:25 of the third period. Draisaitl made it 4-2 into an empty net at 19:15 of the third period.
For Edmonton, Draisaitl had two goals and an assist, McDavid had three assists, Ekholm and Dickinson each scored, and Devon Levi stopped 20 of 22 shots.
For Vancouver, Sasson and Boeser each scored, and Leevi Merilainen stopped 26 of 29 shots.
Edmonton outshot Vancouver 30-22. Edmonton went 1 for 3 on the power play, and Vancouver went 0 for 2. The Oilers moved to 12-3-3. The Canucks fell to 3-15-1.
The Oilers sit second in the Western Conference. The Canucks sit 16th in the Western Conference and have lost five straight. The Oilers lead the season series 2-1.
The Oilers are back in action when they host the New York Rangers on Monday, Nov. 9, at 8:00 p.m. ET. The Canucks next host the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday, Nov. 9, at 9:30 p.m. ET.
