Travis Hunter will be taking both sides of the field again this season for the Jacksonville Jaguars, a move debated at the time when he was initially drafted with the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, is now criticized once again by members of the media.

However, the outside noise is just that for Hunter, who has heard it all before.

“It didn’t bother me,” Hunter said to ESPN on Wednesday. “They’ve been doing that my whole career.”

Hunter appeared in seven games for the Jaguars in 2025 playing 324 offensive snaps and 162 defensive snaps. During that span, Hunter recorded 28 receptions for 298 yards and a touchdowns with 15 tackles.

Unfortunately, his season would be cut short after tearing the lateral collateral ligament in his knee which caused him to miss the remainder of the year. He is still working to get cleared to return to the practice field which is the top priority as OTAs begin.

“I’ve got to get back on the field first,” Hunter said. “I’m excited to just be able to get back on the field and work with the guys.”
