The incident occurred at UAB’s football facility and the suspect was arrested on campus. While the school has yet to reveal the identity of any of the players involved, reports have confirmed that lineman Daniel Mincey was arrested on campus Saturday and is believed to be the suspect.
Both players are reportedly in stable condition. The Blazers will still participate in their game against South Florida.
Mincey is in his first year with UAB after transferring from Kentucky in the offseason. He is facing charges of aggravated assault and attempted murder.
