AJ Dybantsa is widely expected to be a top three pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. As he continues to transition from the BYU Cougars go the pros, he unveiled a new signature logo with Nike on Wednesday.

The new logo features designs that form his initials and are organized in the shape of a star. Dybantsa spoke with longtime sneaker writer Aaron Dodson about the logo.

“I’ve always dealt with pressure ever since I was younger,” Dybantsa said. “In creating my new logo, Nike and I liked the metaphor of pressure forming diamonds and at the same time forming a star with my initials.”

In addition to the new logo, Dybantsa told ESPN on Wednesday that his partnership with Nike has been promoted to a professional basketball contract. He first joined Nike on an NIL deal in 2024.

Dybantsa is coming off of a terrific freshman season for BYU in which he led all Division I players in points per game. As a polished scorer with a mind-blowing combination of skill, size and athleticism, he’s got a strong case to go No. 1 in the draft.

If his game translates to the NBA level effectively, he’ll have a signature shoe in no time. He told ESPN that he’s already got his eyes on some NBA hardware.

“There’s so many greats that have won Rookie of the Year,” he said. “I don’t want to not win Rookie of the Year. I’m not going to sit here and be like, ‘Oh, I don’t really care about Rookie of the Year.’ Yeah, I definitely want to win it.”
