The Denver Nuggets have shocked the NBA world when they announced they were firing both head coach Mike Malone and general manager Calvin Booth.
At first, Nuggets star Nikola Jokic remained silent on the subject. He has now broken that silence and gave his thoughts on the Nuggets’ decision to fire Mike Malone.

“I won’t tell you what Josh (Kroenke) told me. I knew a little bit before everybody,” Jokic said. “And he told me, ‘We made a decision.’ So, it was not a discussion. It was a decision, and he told me why. So I listened, and I accepted it. I’m not gonna tell you what he told me. I’ll keep it private.”

The Nuggets played their first game without Malone as head coach last night and found success. Denver ended their four game losing streak by defeating the Sacramento Kings 124-116.
Jokic had an off game, scoring 20 points on just 5-12 shooting. He did add 12 rebounds and 11 assists to record yet another triple-double.
With two games remaining in the season, can the Nuggets find enough rhythm under new head coach David Adelman? Or will Denver’s decision to fire Malone backfire in an early playoff exit?
