Nico Harrison has been back in the news recently. For starters, his Dallas Mavericks have been knocked out of playoff contention, while the star they traded away is in the postseason with his Los Angeles Lakers.

Harrison also recently made some odd comments about not knowing how much Doncic was loved in Dallas.

There have now been some news reports that Mavs owner Patrick Dumont is frustrated with Harrison. This frustration brews from the trade of Doncic.

“Team sources consistently express belief that Dumont no longer sees Harrison as a figure with irreproachable basketball expertise, said Tim Cato of DLLS Sports.

“Most notably, team and league sources say Dumont has had frustration with Harrison not warning him — or, perhaps even more damningly, being unaware — of the fandom’s outrage following the trade.

“Those same sources say it had some influence over Dumont’s decision to make Harrison appear for last week’s closed media event, which Harrison did not want to participate in.”

There will be a lot of debate if Harrison will keep his job coming into next season. If you ask Mavs fans, he shouldn’t. The question now is, how much faith does Mavericks ownership have in their GM?
