Bills QB Josh Allen reveals Olympic gold medal aspirations

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is still in the pursuit of a Super Bowl, but that isn’t the only sports accomplishment he wants to capture.

With flag football coming to the Olympics in 2028, Allen recently told NBC that he would be happy to be the QB for the United States.

“Being a U.S. Olympic gold medalist is a dream that I’ve always had,” he said. “I’ve never had the chance to accomplish it.”

“I would sign up tomorrow to be on the team. I’ve always dreamed of competing for my country and being able to wear my own gold medal, but we’ll see how it works.”

In March, the flag football players actually dominated the NFL players at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic. This begs the questions of whether Team USA would actually want Allen to play, given the vast differences between flag and tackle football.

This may be the only question mark on his goal to lead the U.S. to a flag football Olympic gold medal.

“I don’t know if they’d want me,” Allen said. “I don’t know the ins-and-outs really of flag football. I watched that deal, maybe a couple months ago, and it was a much different game than I thought it would be. But I do think that if there is a potential space, I would love to do it.”
