New York Knicks legend Charles Oakley recently shared his perspective on the everlasting debate between LeBron James and Michael Jordan. In a recent episode of the podcast “Fadeaway Dunk”, Oakley didn’t name who he thought was the better player, but he did reveal which of the two he would rather play with.
“Who would I rather play with: LeBron or Mike?” Oakley said. “I say LeBron, but Mike’s my best friend. Mike ain’t passing me the ball. He doesn’t care if I get a shot today or tomorrow.”

The former All-Star elaborated on why he thinks James is a better teammate than Jordan.
“Anybody who’s got a son, watch LeBron,” Oakley said. “If you’re open, he’ll pass your son the ball. It ain’t like some guys who’ll look at you and then shoot it.”
Despite being close friends with Jordan, it’s clear that Oakley would prefer to have James as a teammate, lauding him for his leadership.
The debate over who is the best player of all time continues to burn through the basketball world. While Oakley isn’t the first player from Jordan’s era to chime into the debate, his take is fresh and unique.
