The NBA is now investigating a heated interaction between New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson and some courtside fans during Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday.

Near the end of New York’s victory over the San Antonio Spurs, Brunson appeared to be upset with a few courtside fans. Brunson approached the scorers table and spoke with referee Scott Foster about the incident.

In fact, Brunson appeared to have words for the fans directly.

According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, the league is now investigating claims that the two fans directed vulgar profane “flopping” remarks towards Brunson.

After the game, Brunson refused to comment on the situation.

“I’m all good about talking about that,” Brunson said. “I’m all good.”

The 29-year-old didn’t have the most efficient night, but he finished with 30 points and was huge for the Knicks down the stretch. He helped them pull off a 14-point comeback and take a 1-0 series lead.

As of publication, it’s unclear if the two fans involved in Wednesday’s interaction will be allowed to attend Game 2 on Friday.
