The Cleveland Cavaliers took a 2-0 first-round lead on Monday with a gritty 115-105 win over the Toronto Raptors.

Both sides struggled to find the mark from three-point range, but where Cleveland had the advantage was overall shooting. Cleveland came out playing tough defense while also finding ways to score in spite of the outside shooting struggles.

The Cavs held a seven-point advantage after holding the Raptors to 19 points in the first quarter.

The next two quarters were more of a stalemate, while the Cavs held the advantage in field goal percentage, Toronto’s edge in rebounds and free throw shooting kept it a single-digit game.

After three quarters, Cleveland remained ahead by seven.

In the final frame, both squads kept pace with each other as the Cavs stayed in front. Cleveland put together a 12-3 run in the second portion of the quarter to seal the victory.

Donovan Mitchell finished with 30 points, seven rebounds and five assists while James Harden had 28 points five rebounds and five steals.

For Toronto, Scottie Barnes had 26 points and five assists on 11-of-19 shooting.
