The Indiana Fever’s run at the 2024 WNBA championship is over after being defeated by the Connecticut Sun 87-81 on Wednesday in Game 2 of their best-of-three series.

Despite a disappointing end to their playoff run, it was a stellar year all-around for the Fever. Immediately following the loss, Indiana star Caitlin Clark issued a warning to the rest of the league.

“I feel like I had a solid year but, for me, the fun part is I feel like I’m just scratching the surface,” Clark said. “I know I want to help this franchise get even better, help my teammates get even better, be better for my teammates.”

Clark led the Fever on a scoring run late in the game after being down by 11 at one point in the fourth quarter, but the Sun strung together some clutch plays to seal the deal and complete the 2-0 sweep.

Clark also took the time to be grateful for such an outstanding season.

“There’s a lot for us to hold our heads high about,” Clark said. “This team won five games two years ago, so we’re a young group, a pretty inexperienced group but we came together and had a lot of fun playing with one another.”
