The NBA Finals might be raging on, but that hasn’t stopped Monday night’s WNBA action from being exciting. After a gritty battle, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark sank a 32′ game-winning three to push the Fever past the Washington Mystics 78-76.

Neither side had an elite shooting night, but Indiana forced the Mystics into six turnovers in the first frame. Through 12 minutes, the Fever led by five.

After a slow start, Indiana picked up the pace on both ends in the second quarter. They shot a much-improved 50% from the field in the second frame as they held the Mystics to just 13 points in the quarter.

Despite a 14-point halftime deficit, Washington turned it around in a big way in the third quarter. Clark couldn’t find the same offensive groove she harnessed in the first quarter and the Mystics put together a strong run.

Georgia Amoore scored nine of her 12 points in the third frame as Washington made it a seven-point game heading into the final quarter.

The final 10 minutes made for a physical battle down the stretch, but Sonia Citron‘s clutch free throws put the Mystics ahead by one with 4.3 seconds to play.

On the inbound play, Sophie Cunningham found Clark on the left wing, who sank the go-ahead three from 32′ out and secured the victory for Indiana.
