Los Angeles Lakers rookie guard Bronny James got his first NBA start on Sunday in the regular season finale against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
With the 3rd seed in the Western Conference secured, Lakers coach JJ Redick gave the nod to rest the starters, allowing the rookie to achieve his first career start.

While Sunday’s matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers won’t have an impact on playoff seeding, it will allow James more time at the NBA level, where he’s only seen limited action.

In the G-League however, he’s been exceptional, putting up 21.9 points, 5.4 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game. Sunday’s matchup is James’ 27th game at the NBA level.
