Brandon Aiyuk continued ruffle the feathers of the San Francisco 49ers front office on Wednesday, where he shared during a post to Instagram that if he were to be released he would sign with the Washington Commanders.

This comes two days after he posted a video shouting “Go Commanders” to his feed.

During his second video he shares, “And if I’m crazy or cappin’, tell them boys cut me today. And I’ll sign with the Commanders tomorrow.”

The Commanders have not publicly confirmed any interest in acquiring Aiyuk should he be dismissed by the 49ers.

In January, San Francisco general manager John Lynch shared that it was “safe to say” that Aiyuk had played his last days with the franchise. Since then the team has been attempting to drum up any type of trade interest from around the league.

Aiyuk signed a four-year $120 million extension back in August of 2024 but has not taken the field for over a year despite being recovered from a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus in his right knee.
