Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts has signed a three-year $54 million contract extension with $36 million guaranteed according to ESPN. It is the third largest contract given to a tight end in the history of the NFL.

Pitts, who was franchise tagged going into this offseason, was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft but has not quite lived up to the placement despite his obvious talent.
However, last season was the most productive year since his rookie campaign catching 88 passes for 928 yards and five touchdowns.
With Pitts locked down, the Falcons will now alter their focus to extending star running back Bijan Robinson who is under contract for two more seasons with the franchise picking up his fifth year option.
