For the first time since 1973, the New York Knicks are celebrating as NBA champions. After over 50 years without one, the Knicks’ championship parade on Thursday was one to remember.
Fans wasted absolutely no time packing the streets of Manhattan to cheer on their team. Despite not beginning until 10 a.m., the NYPD confirmed that the event was at full capacity over two hours early.

As the festivities approached, fans erupted as players, coaches and celebrities arrived. The roughly two-hour parade provided plenty of memorable moments as New York’s favorite basketball team basked in the glory of a championship.
After two hours of sheer joy and celebration, the parade wrapped up and the Knicks prepared to take the stage for a ceremony at City Hall.
Legendary Knicks commentator Mike Breen led it off by showcasing a tribute video highlighting New York’s red-hot playoff run.
Moments later, the champions themselves took the stage before New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani spoke on the Knicks legends of the last decade that have impacted the franchise.
To wrap up the magical day, he handed Jalen Brunson and each member of the Knicks a key to the city.
