The Houston Astros outlasted the New York Yankees 7-4 on Sunday to snap New York’s eight-game winning streak.

Houston fielded well early to send New York’s first three batters out before Christian Walker put the Astros ahead with a 432′ 2-run homer in the bottom of the first inning.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a single for the Yankees in the second, but three other batters were sent back to the dugout.

The Astros remained ahead 2-0 for a few more innings until Isaac Paredes hit his own two-run home run to increase the lead to 4-0.

Spencer Arrighetti was solid on the mound for Houston as they kept New York scoreless for a couple more innings. In the bottom of the fifth, Paredes sent in a runner with a single and Christian Walker immediately hit a two-run double to go up 7-0.

The Astros may have spoiled Aaron Judge‘s birthday on Sunday, but he didn’t leave empty-handed. He hit a 401’ solo home run in the top of the sixth to finally put the Yankees on the board.

The next several innings were scoreless before the Yankees had one last chance in the top of the ninth. With two outs, the Yankees scored again with a one-run double by Paul Goldschmidt and another one-run double by J.C. Escarra.

New York kept rolling with a one-run single by Ryan McMahon to make it a 4-7 game. But Jose Caballero was thrown out after hitting towards third and the Astros held on for the win.
