Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards breaks NBA record with hot start to season

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is off to a tremendous start this season. He’s currently averaging 27.7 points and 6.3 rebounds through three games.

After knocking down five threes against the Toronto Raptors on Saturday, Edwards joined four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry and four-time All Star Kemba Walker as the only players to hit five or more three-pointers in each of the first three games of the season.

This three-pointer also put Edwards in a class of his own. It was the 800th three-pointer of his career, making him the youngest player in NBA history to ever reach that mark at just 23 years old.

Edwards has a long way to go before breaking records held by the likes of LeBron James and Michael Jordan, but his skills and abilities make him more than equipped to fly up the all-time leaderboards in several categories.
