The Cleveland Cavaliers secured a gritty 114-102 Game 7 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, advancing to the second round.

Much like Sunday’s first Game 7, this matchup became a lopsided affair, although the first two quarters were competitive.

In the opening quarter, the Raptors had a sizable advantage in both field goal and three-point percentage, but the Cavs’ huge free throw advantage kept it close. Toronto held a two-point lead after the first 12 minutes.

The second quarter was another tug-of-war that saw neither side pull away. Donovan Mitchell remained relatively cold in terms of scoring, but the Cavs had a bounce-back quarter as a team.

They returned the favor by outscoring Toronto by two in the frame to tie it at halftime.

After a shaky first half, the third quarter is when Cleveland took full control of the battle. The Cavs dominated both ends of the floor, holding the Raptors to 25% shooting in the third while shooting over 48% from the floor themselves.

Cleveland pulled in 22 rebounds in the third quarter while taking a 19-point lead.

In the final frame, the Raptors recovered enough to trim the lead slightly over time, but failed to get make it close at all.

Jarrett Allen made a statement with 22 points, 19 rebounds and three blocks.

For Toronto, Scottie Barnes finished with 24 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
