The Indiana Pacers’ chances of winning the NBA championship may have officially ended. Breaking news has stated that the Pacers are preparing to play Game 6 without Tyrese Haliburton.

Haliburton played through an apparent injury in Game 5. It certainly had an effect on his play, as he did not make a field goal despite playing 34 minutes.

In the game, the Pacers’ star guard scored four points on 0-6 shooting, including 0-4 from three. He did add seven rebounds and six assists, but if the Pacers want to win, Haliburton has to give them more production.

So far in the Pacers’ Finals wins, Haliburton has averaged 18.0 points per game. In their losses, he’s only averaged 13.0 points per game.

Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle originally stated that Indiana would keep a close watch on Haliburton’s injury, and despite being hopeful, their star guard would be listed as questionable.

“He is going to be carefully evaluated over the next 36 hours and will likely be listed as questionable on the injury report and probably will be a game-time decision for Game 6,” Carlisle said.

This new update is not what Pacers fans want to hear. Hopefully, Haliburton will feel much better come Thursday when Game 6 will be played.

If not, the Pacers’ season will likely end.
