The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 109-80 on Monday night, the lowest scoring game from L.A. since LeBron James joined the team.
James’ shooting struggles carried over to Monday’s game as he finished with just 10 points on 4-of-16 shooting from the field and 0-of-4 from three-point range.

James has struggled on the offensive end as of late, especially from long range. Since tying Kyle Korver for 7th on the NBA’s all-time 3PT list, James has shot a combined 0-of-24 from three over the last five games. It’s the worst 3PT shooting stretch of his career and unlike their previous game, the Lakers struggled along with James.

Anthony Davis also had arguably his worst game of the season, finishing with 12 points and 11 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell played well with 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting, but no other Laker had a strong all-around game.
For Minnesota, Julius Randle led the way with 18 points and five assists. Wolves star Anthony Edwards also had a poor offensive performance on Monday with eight points and seven rebounds on 3-of-13 shooting.
The Lakers now sit at 8th place in the Western Conference with a 12-9 record while the Timberwolves improved to 10-10 and are currently at 12th place in the same conference.
