Grizzlies and NBA fans react to Taylor Jenkins’ firing

The Memphis Grizzlies are 44-29 and are currently the 5th seed in the Western Conference. While they’ve lost four of their last five, their recent skid shouldn’t be too much of a concern. However, the team announced on Tuesday that they were firing head coach Taylor Jenkins.

With Ja Morant sidelined due to injury, most had expected Memphis to simply gear up for the playoffs like usual, so the abrupt firing sent shockwaves through the NBA world. Many NBA fans are confused, although some Grizzlies fans appeared to be delighted with the decision.
