Knicks ticket prices reach new heights after Game 2 win

The NBA Finals are well underway and the New York Knicks are two wins away from an NBA championship. Their historic playoff run has continued to roll along with two road wins agains the San Antonio Spurs.

With the next two games in Madison Square Garden, ticket prices are reflective of the insane magnitude of the events.

The absolute cheapest tickets for Game 3 on Monday have now soared to nearly $10,000 each, according to SeatGeek.

Tickets for Game 4 are even higher, as the Knicks have a chance to complete the sweep in that matchup and claim their first NBA championship since 1973.

In terms of the most expensive tickets for the premium seats, those are going for over $100,000 a pop.

To put this into perspective, tickets to watch the Knicks at home in the Finals are seeing higher demand than tickets for each of the last two Super Bowls.

These prices continue to rise in part due to the fact that United States President Donald Trump has announced that he will be attending Game 3 in New York on Monday.

He is set to become the first sitting president to ever attend an NBA Finals game.

Although the prices have surpassed record-breaking levels, Knicks fans in attendance won’t be worried about that if they get to witness their team win the Larry O’Brien.
