San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama will not be fined or suspended after being ejected for the first time in his career in Game 4 against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday, per Shams Charania.

Wembanyama was ejected in the second quarter after being assessed a Flagrant II foul for hitting Timberwolves forward Naz Reid with a hard elbow to the neck while battling for a rebound.

With 8:39 left in the second quarter, it’s the earliest an All-Star has been ejected from an NBA playoff game since the play-by-play era began in 1997.

After the foul call, Wembanyama seemed confused on what that meant and did not initially appear aware that he had been thrown out.

In his absence, the Spurs stayed in control until Anthony Edwards erupted in the fourth quarter to help Minnesota tie the series with a win.

Wembanyama is now set to play in Game 5 after the NBA determined that his ejection was enough punishment for the foul.
