The Minnesota Timberwolves looked to run past the Golden State Warriors since they were still without their superstar, Stephen Curry. When it seemed likely, the Timberwolves took a 10-point lead midway through the second quarter.
However, the Warriors responded with a 13-1 run to finish the first half, taking a 42-40 lead into the break.

The Warriors kept their lead for most of the second half, but ultimately, Minnesota had too much firepower for a short-handed Golden State squad to handle. The Timberwolves survived the scare to secure a 102-97 victory, led by Anthony Edwards‘ 36 points and Julius Randle’s dominant triple-double (24 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists).
Jimmy Butler did all he could, finishing with 33 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Butler and the Warriors need Curry back, but with Game 4 on Monday, it may be too soon for the greatest shooter to return to the floor.
