The NBA offseason is in full swing and 41-year-old LeBron James is still the top free agent on the market.

Numerous reports over the last few weeks have placed the Golden State Warriors among his top destinations and Andre Iguodala believes Stephen Curry‘s greatness is a major reason for James’ reported interest.

“As I’ve been saying since 2013, Steph Curry, no one understands how great he is,” he told ESPN on Friday.

The 2015 NBA Finals MVP went on to say he’d recently texted a friend about why James would be interested in joining the Warriors.

“He’s like, ‘Steph Curry, if he’s going to get another one of the greatest players of their generation to play on his team, what does it say about him?'” he said.

With four MVPs, four titles and the most points in NBA history, James has noting left to prove. That doesn’t mean he isn’t interested in a fifth championship and the Warriors would be a solid option in this pursuit.

Curry is coming off yet another All-Star season after averaging 26.6 points, 4.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game. But the Warriors were ravaged by a numerous injuries this season and failed to make the playoffs.

If James does decide to turn heel and join the team he faced in the Finals for four straight years, it could produce a generational duo between Curry and himself.

“In my opinion, LeBron James, he might be the smartest basketball player I’ve ever seen,” Iguodala said. “For him to play with somebody like Steph Curry … To see that, even to fathom it, that’s what drives interest and drives the love of the game, of basketball, is the greatness of our players. So, I’m going to be watching. Every game.”
