Steph Curry rests against Bucks due to back injury and exhaustion

Steph curry glances at the floor after a play.

Two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry missed Tuesday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks to rest due to exhaustion and a back injury. It was the second night of a back-to-back and Curry had reportedly been fatigued emotionally instead of physically, according to Steve Kerr.

“He put up a fight last night when I told him I wanted to give him the night off, but he understood,” Kerr said before the game. “He’s been turning it over [the] last couple of games. He’s a little out of sorts.”

The reported back issue is something that Curry said he’s been dealing with for a few years and has had to simply manage it.

Fortunately, Curry is set to be in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Toronto Raptors, according to Kerr. The Warriors have gone 4-1 on their five-game road trip as the resurgence of Jimmy Butler has rewired Golden State’s offense.

While this absence is likely to remain one game in length, the progressive fatigue and lingering back issues are something that the Warriors may need to keep an eye on.
