Scotland secured their first World Cup appearance since 1998 and did not waste the opportunity. Securing their first win in the World Cup since their 2-1 win over Sweden in 1990.

The match was a back-and-forth affair, seeing both teams create scoring opportunities several times in both halves.
Scotland would open the scoring with a goal from Aston Villa man, John McGinn.
McGinn collected a rebounding ball at the top of the box, striking the ball onto goal which took a deflection and secured itself into the net.
The remainder of the first half saw end-to-end play, with both sides creating opportunities, but neither managing to capitalize.
In the second half, Haiti once again continued to create opportunities, the closest of which came in the 85th minute.
Right forward Frantzdy Pierrot headed a looping cross from just outside the six-yard box, pushing the ball just left of the net and squandering yet another scoring opportunity.
The Haitian effort in the second half was palpable, outshooting Scotland seven to two.
But it was not enough, as Scotland would hang on to win 1-0, securing three points and topping Group C.
Haiti will face Brazil on at 8:30 p.m. on Friday for their next match up.
Scotland will also play Friday, facing off against Morocco at 6 p.m.
