One practice into the AJ Brown era in New England and coaches are already drawing comparisons to all-time greats.
Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels was someone impressed by Brown immediately. Following practice on Tuesday, McDaniels spoke with the media and compared Brown’s impact on the game to that of former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.

“There’s a force to the way he plays the game … Maybe the closest thing I’ve seen is Gronk. This is a big guy,” McDaniels said according to Mike Reiss.

Brown was traded to the Patriots on Monday following a long rumored transaction from earlier in the offseason to reunite with his previous head coach Mike Vrabel who drafted him with the Tennessee Titans.
He will now be working to boost third-year quarterback Drake Maye and allow the offense to reach another level following a Super Bowl appearance this past season.
