The New York Giants are finalizing a deal to bring back wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. per NFL insider Adam Schefter. The team later confirmed the move on social media.

After being drafted by the Giants 12th overall in 2014, Beckham hit the ground running to begin his NFL career.

He was behind one of the greatest catches in NFL history on his way to three 1,300-yard seasons in three years. He dazzled in New York for two more seasons before being traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2019.

Various injuries caught up to him in Cleveland and his production dipped drastically. Eventually, he negotiated his release from the Browns and signed a deal with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021.

While he didn’t assume the role of WR1, he made major contributions for the Rams in the playoffs that season.

After two solid postseason performances, he scored an early touchdown in the Super Bowl before going down with a torn ACL. Beckham became a Super Bowl champion after the Rams went on to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals.

He missed a full season to rehab his injury before spending one season on the Baltimore Ravens. After moderate production with the Ravens, he spent a season with the Miami Dolphins and was not on a roster for the 2025 season.

The Giants also signed other receivers on Monday, including JuJu Smith-Schuster and Braxton Berrios. With these receivers coming in as well, Beckham’s role on the squad isn’t guaranteed.

But at the very least, he’s back under contract with the team that drafted him over a decade ago.
