The San Antonio Spurs came out on top after a thrilling Game 7 matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, advancing to the NBA Finals.

Saturday night’s matchup was physical and gritty as both sides fought for control. A recent streak of Game 7 blowouts was broken in a thrilling battle that saw the Spurs play elite basketball down the stretch.

Saturday’s matchup provided plenty of drama. From a clutch chasedown block by Luke Kornet, to Chet Holmgren‘s lack of impact, NBA fans online had plenty to react to.

As the dust settled, San Antonio’s group effort was enough to overwhelm the Thunder, who desperately needed more from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander‘s supporting staff.

With the reigning champs being sent home, the Spurs and Knicks are now set to face off in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday. By the end of the series, we’ll have a new NBA champion for the eighth year in a row.
