10-time NFL Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson is finalizing a deal to become CBS Sports’ newest NFL analyst, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Wilson said last month that he had an offer to become the backup QB for the New York Jets, but he ultimately opted to join CBS’ pregame show.
According to Front Office Sports, he’ll take the place of Matt Ryan, who left CBS to become the Atlanta Falcons’ president of football.
Wilson reportedly isn’t retiring completely, but this will mark a break in his playing tenure.
Across 14 years in the NFL, Wilson was most known for his tenure on the Seattle Seahawks. He also had stints with the Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants.
As a 10-time Pro Bowler, Wilson racked up an impressive 46,966 passing yards to go along with 353 passing touchdowns. He led the Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory in 2014 and took home the Walter Payton Man of the Year award in 2020.
As one of the most impactful quarterbacks of the last decade, Wilson is now set to begin his career in broadcasting.
