Although it seems like the triple-double is a normal occurrence for Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic, his performance against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday was historic.
Jokic put up 29 points, 18 rebounds and 16 assists in Denver’s 144-139 win, becoming just the second player in NBA history to achieve that stat line. The only other player to do so is the great Oscar Robinson, who did it twice in 1962. Jokic was vital to Denver’s success and the night’s biggest play came when he hit a clutch hook shot to tie the game at 125 with under nine seconds left in the fourth quarter.

The Nuggets erased a 17-point deficit behind the heroics of Jokic, Jamal Murray, Russell Westbrook and Aaron Gordon, who all finished with 20 points or more.
Seven Nets players scored in double figures, but Jokic’s masterclass performance was too much for Brooklyn to handle as they fall to 1-3 on the season.
